Chocolate


If you don't like chocolate, quit reading now. This post is about chocolate, not farm animals, sorry. I love chocolate (I'm holding a piece of HOMEMADE chocolate!!).  Even my non-chocolate loving kids like what I am about to share with you. Yes, kids who don't love chocolate DO exist...I didn't believe it until I seen it myself.   :)  I have been reading a great devotional called The Homesteading Wife's Christian Devotional.  Not only are the devotionals great, but there are phenomenal do-it-yourself type recipes included.   When I came across the one for Homemade Chocolate, I knew it was a must-try.  Results - tried and LOVED it.  I didn't use all the ingredients on the recipe (the original recipe called for a pinch of coconut sugar and sea salt).   Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Homemade Chocolate
1/2 c. coconut oil
1/2 c. cocoa powder
1/4 c. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt coconut oil in saucepan over low heat.  Stir in cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla.  Blend well.  Pour into parchment paper lined baking dish (I used an 8x8 pan).   Refrigerate until solidified.  Break or cut into desired pieces.  Store in refrigerator.
